Situation: You learned the joyous news today that a co-worker has finally moved on..to another company. It was great for the co-worker , since he/she was miserable due to many factors that effected his/her job. The position he/she held was a position that you wouldn't mind having. You really dislike your current one with the company, but while you wanted to move up in the compnay, you feared that you would not be given the chance due to a good performance at your job, which only needs one to perform. Heck, let's say you're more than good, you're pretty darn good at your job and you are 99.99999% certain that you would not be "let go." You're pretty darn sure that most people in the company knew this, which wasn't a bad (or good) thing. Just a fact.
The day ends and you head home to play on the internet, just like any working Joe. While browsing through a popular free classified listing, you come upon quite a, stunning, discovery for a job listing for a position that seemed very much to be yours.
Now, due to the astounding evidence that this was your position (your position title, your job responsibilties, your job city location, and, oh yea, your boss's email for inquiries), how would you react to seeing your job up for grabs?

Toot-Toot
I'm gonna blow my own horn here in saying that I was approached by 2 different online "travel sites" asking for permission to post a particualr photo of mine. They're nothing big, not like travelocity or hotels, com, just smaller sites. Unknown sites. Look, this is the pic:
It was quite surprising since I didn't do any submitting. I guess these folk just roam the flickr country side looking for suitable free photos for their blogs. I was even more surprised that they chose that pic because, gee, it wasn't the best in my bunch. At least I didn't think so!
As a thanks to group one, here's a link to them, Schmaps. If you want to see the pic in it's new setting, ya have to search for the pic posting under "sights and attractions" and "Mid City". Group two won't have it posted til April-ish, so if it actually happens, I'll let y'all know.

OMG!!!
Sooo, I went visit my BFF in Jackson. Most of y'all, ok, practically all of y'all know her, Stacey, her hubby, and his clone, Ace. I popped in on Super Bowl night and we all commenced to refer me as "auntee" the entire time**. He is in the "repeat any word that I possibly can" stage, so imagine our delight when he finally said the word and that I actually caught the pivotal moment on video! *Squeel*!! Isn't he the cutuest!
**I can't stress enough how many times we repeated that word in a, let's see, 8 hour time frame. Many, many, many, many times. The real test will be in the future when I pop by again.

Stop Dreaming
Ya know, I actually changed my party affiliation to Republican so I can vote for him in the February 9 primary. I have never ever been so involved in politics like I have been this year adn it's all becasue of that man. Ron Paul is the man!!

Bullshit!
McCain is being labeled as the preliminary winner for the Louisiana Caucus which is total bull. Unfortunately for Ron Paul, I wasn't able to to vote due to the idiotic rule of needing to be a Republican to vote and not finding out till 2 days before the "change your party" deadline. And there I was thinking choosing "other" was the best way to go. I have heard about too many people who registered as far back as month prior to the deadline who had to casts provisional ballots, which mainly means there's a chance it won't count. Total bullshit I say. Total.

Natchez 2007
I have never been to Natchez, Mississippi before this past weekend. Unfortunately, it was only one day, but luckily I had AMAZING company. (Love me some Spiehlers...) We specifically went to check out The Natchez Trace where we made stops at Ruins of Windsor and the Ghost Town of Rodney. Here are a few highlights from the trip:
This is just a selection, people. So if you want to see more, AKA the whole set, just go to my Flickr page.
